From the moment forward Evander Kane was arrested in Buffalo the trade rumors were sparked, and the main focus of those rumors has consistently been the Vancouver Canucks.

In a recent interview with TSN's 1040 Radio, Canucks president Trevor Linden expressed reservations about troubled players on his roster, but clearly did not rule out the possibility of a player like Kane being acquired by the organization. Linden of course did not mention Kane specifically, understandable considering the recent fine his organization received for tampering.

“I think with any situation, they’re all unique to themselves,” Linden said, before warning against the temptation to jump to conclusions prior to knowing all the facts.

“Ultimately we’d prefer not to have that situation arise, certainly with our own players,” he added as per NBS Sports' Jason Brough. “It’s a big world out there. Obviously, the challenges are significant for young guys who make a lot of money and get themselves into spots that they make mistakes.”

It's unlikely that any move is made until Kane's legal troubles are clarified however.
