The comeback kids just refused to quit!
The Vancouver Canucks live to see another day.
A loss in tonight's game against the Dallas Stars would have eliminated the Canucks from playoff contention and that's exactly where things looked to be headed with just a minute left in regulation.
The Canucks were down 5-2 to the Stars and managed to put up three goals in 54 seconds to tie the game late! Pius Suter scored the equalizer with just 5 seconds left on the clock!
In overtime, forward Kiefer Sherwood played the hero role giving the Canucks an improbably 6-5 victory and yet another crack at keeping their hopes alive!
Credit where credit's due... this team could have folded on the season down 5-2 with a minute left, but they dug themselves out of a hole and now they have a shred of hope left. Sometimes, that's all you need.
