They don’t ask how many shots, they just ask how many goals! And the Vancouver Canucks are happy with the result!
Not only did they take a two games to one series lead over the Nashville Predators tonight in Nashville thanks to their 2-1 win, but they also did so while registering only 12 total shots on Predators goaltender Juuse Saros! 😳
Thanks to their unusual accomplishment, it now goes into the team record books as the lowest total number of shots in a playoff victory; the previous two records were 13 in 2011 against San Jose and 13 in 2003 against the Wild.
The Canucks got goals from J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser, while Casey DeSmith made 30 saves for his first career postseason victory.
