For the Vancouver Canucks next two games, they will don a patch in remembrance of hockey great Pat Quinn. Nicknamed “The Big Irishman” the patch is a four leafed clover with Quinn’s initials embroidered. Quinn died on Sunday night in Vancouver after a lengthy illness. He was 71 years old. During Quinn's time as President and General Manager, he was responsible for bringing such greats as Trevor Linden, Pavel Bure and Kirk McLean to Vancouver. He also brought the Canucks to within one game of the Stanley Cup in 1994, only to have the Canucks lose a heartbreaking Game 7 loss to the New York Rangers. He was a true hockey genius and will be sorely missed.
