The Capitals have a sad reputation about their playoffs performances. In the last few years, they had very competitive teams and struggled to piece together a decent Playoffs run. Of course, even if the players say ''it's not a concern'', that proverbial monkey is firmly holding on their back.
Following yesterday's insane game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Caps' players were asked about how it felt in the locker room. Matt Niskanen snapped to the reporter in a very out of line attitude.
At first glance, this is not a very exciting development. However, you have to consider that the NHL players are required to be professional and nice to reporters at all times. Don't think the post-game interviews are voluntary efforts from the players, it's mandatory.
For Niskanen to blow away a reporter, he had to be PISSED. It's probably an indication of the attitude in the Caps' room.
