Capitals player sends a heavy jab to Gary Bettman and the whole NHL management

Since the NHL playoff format changed a few years ago, many predicted it would become a problem in the future. It started with few insiders and fans criticizing the format and it’s now time for the player to go public and calls out Gary Bettman and the NHL management team.

The Washington Capitals have a tremendous year but they could face the Pittsburgh Penguins or the Blue Jackets as early as in the second round.

Washington forward Daniel Winnik commented on the divisional playoff formats: “it’s stupid. It’s the stupidest thing ever.”

Daniel Winnik is a 32-year-old veteran center. He played 61 games this season with the Caps. He scored 9 goals and registered 11 assists for a total of 20 points.
