Capitals share update after Nick Jensen leaves on stretcher.
The Washington Capitals have shared an update on injured veteran forward Nick Jensen.
Thankfully the first bit of news I am hearing about injured Washington Capitals forward Nick Jensen is good news.
On Saturday, Jensen was seriously injured when a hit from Tampa Bay Lightning forward Michael Eyssimont sent him crashing awkwardly into the boards at a pretty terrible angle. Jensen's head would absorb the brunt of the impact and the end result would see the 33 year old National Hockey League veteran lying motionless on the ice.
It looked very bad and Jensen would have to be stretchered off the ice, but thankfully as I mentioned the initial news from the Capitals is good news. In an official update, the Capitals have announced that Jensen is responding to medical personnel and has been able to move his limbs following the brutal collision with the boards.
I'd like to wish Jensen a full and speedy recovery from his injuries.
