If there was any doubt before, last season established beyond any doubt that the Montreal Canadiens are Carey Price's team, and while Max Pacioretty may wear the "C" Carey Price is as of right now the heart and soul of that team, and inarguably it's most important player.

That's why many were curious to hear how Price would feel about the trade that sent P.K. Subban, by all accounts a close friend of Price's, to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Shea Weber. While Price did admit to NHL.com's Kevin Woodley that seeing Subban traded wasn't easy, he did feel that adding a guy like Shea Weber, with whom Price already trained with during the offseason, will benefit his team.

"I know what Shea is all about," Price told NHL.com. "He is a leader on and off the ice and he's going to fit into our system perfectly. There's not a team in the NHL that wouldn't want Shea Weber."

Price feels that while the trade will benefit Nashville, which plays an open style under head coach Peter Laviolette, but he also feels that the Canadiens due to their style of play will benefit from Weber's presence, perhaps due to the more defensive focused Michel Therrien.

"They play different styles of games and I think for the direction the teams are going, the fits are going to make sense," Price said.
