The Montreal Canadiens lost Game 1 of the Stanley Cup semi finals to the Vegas Golden Knights and will look to get back on track for Game 2 on Wednesday night.
While the Habs might have lost 4-1, but they did show they had a winning combination in the pest department: they can count on the 1-2 Pest Punch in the NHL with Corey Perry and Brendan Gallagher. They’re both committed to the effort and outstanding in terms of execution.
And we can add one more “pest” to the mix with Carey Price’s wife Angela, who’s having fun on social media.
While she did not go after Max Pacioretty herself, Price’s wife made it clear she loves a good laugh at the former Habs captain. A fan made the comment: Pacioretty tripped Perry before the draw and pretended he didn’t just like he pretended he didn’t ask for a trade.
Angela sent out the laughing emoji. And we love it.
Pacioretty mentioned more than once that he did not want to be traded out of Montreal, however, it was clear in his actions that he was no longer the captain the Habs needed him to be. Montreal shipped away another cornerstone player to the Golden Knights in return for a second-round draft pick, Tomas Tatar, and Nick Suzuki.
There is no doubt the trade ended up being perfect for both teams. However, it is funny to see it remains something the Habs’ fans are using to poke fun at Vegas and Pacioretty.
It makes up for a good storyline in this series!
