For Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Carter Hart the clash between his team and the Carolina Hurricanes in the Stanley Cup Final has even more significance than for most. Hart is in his first season back in the National Hockey League since he was acquitted in a high profile sexual assault case involving Hockey Canada, but that return almost never happened.

It looked as though Hart would initially return as a member of the Hurricanes organization but severe public backlash from fans eventually led to the Hurricanes walking away from Hart. It was that decision on the part of the Hurricanes that would result in Hart landing with the Golden Knights, now facing the team that rejected him in the Stanley Cup Final.

That bad blood hasn't died down either with fans in Raleigh hitting Hart with one of the most brutal chants you're ever going to hear during an NHL game, especially during the Stanley Cup Final. Fans began chanting "No Means No" as the Hurricanes took a commanding lead in Game 5, a clear reference to the court case in Canada.

Over the weekend, during the lead up to Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, Hart would be asked by TSN's Ryan Rishaug about that very same chant, but Hart downplayed it and refused to give it any more attention.

"It's just noise," said Hart. "Both atmospheres in both buildings have been really loud and its just a lot of fun to play in. Yeah it's just noise."
