Carter Hart's NHL return hasn't gone exactly to plan.
The Vegas Golden Knights goaltender has struggled mightily in his return to pro hockey after a year away from the sport while defending himself against sexual assault allegations. The 27 year old has just 5 wins in 12 starts and is sporting a sub-par 3.23 goals against average and .874 on the season so far.
Tonight though, things went from bad to worse for Hart as he was forced to leave his team's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets after suffering what appeared to be a gruesome knee injury.
Hart appeared to twist his knee when scrambling for position in the Golden Knights crease and needed to be helped off the ice by teammates:
