Tonight at 7:30 PM, the Chicago Blackhawks host the Vancouver Canucks. The Hawks are looking to bounce back after losing 4-2 to the Sharks on Tuesday.
Chicago head coach Jeremy Colliton shuffled around the bottom six of his offense as he seeks to earn the W this evening.
Andrew Shaw will play alongside David Kampf and Kirby Dach on the third offensive line for the Blackhawks. Zack Smith who was a healthy scratch last week will take Shaw's place on the 4th line composed of he, Ryan Carpenter and Drake Caggiula. The odd man out is Dominik Kubalik who will be scratched this evening.
Coach Colliton has also made a change in front of the net. Robin Lehner was the starting goaltender who faced defeat in San Jose. This evening, Corey Crawford will be the starting netminder as Lehner plays second fiddle.
Despite the loss on Tuesday, Colliton stands by most of his line combinations. The rest of the Hawks' lineup should look quite similar to the one that faced off against the Sharks earlier this week.
Here is the Blackhawks' projected lineup for tonight's matchup against the Vancouver Canucks according to NHL.com insider Scott King:
Forwards:
Alexander Nylander - Jonathan Toews - Brandon Saad
Alex DeBrincat - Dylan Strome - Patrick Kane
Andrew Shaw - David Kampf - Kirby Dach
Drake Caggiula - Ryan Carpenter - Zack Smith
Defensemen:
Adam Boqvist - Duncan Keith
Calvin de Haan - Brent Seabrook
Olli Maata - Erik Gustafsson
Goaltenders:
Corey Crawford
Robin Lehner
Dominik Kubalik, Dennis Gilbert and Slater Koekkoek are set to be tonight's healthy scratches for Chicago. Defenseman Connor Murphy is still out with a groin injury.
The Vancouver Canucks earned at least one point in their last 8 games and will be looking to keep that streak going.
It should be a great hockey game.
