There have been too many stories of angry parents pushing their kids way too hard to become better hockey players. In the past months in Canada, we've seen unfortunate news of parents screaming at their children on the ice and getting into violent fights with other aggressive parents over their kids' talents.

How sick are they?

These same parents would most likely respect what this cheating father decided to do, in what he probably thought was best for his son's career and future. However, he was caught and now everyone knows what he was up to.

When you want to look up any information on a promising hockey prospects, you better head to the Elite Prospects webpage where you will get all the details you need to learn about a young player. And they know their stuff - so do not try to mess with them!

On Wednesday, Elite Prospects reported on their Twitter account that the father of a young player attempted to get Elite Prospect to manipulate his son's statistics. They gave all of the information on how he went about it:

So, another father just tried to get us to manipulate his son's stats.

1) He bought a domain
2) Created a fake website, trying to make it look official
3) Entered his son’s (fake) stats under the “Stats” menu option
4) Contacted us claiming our official stats were off

"He might have a hard time explaining the fact that the his son is the only player listed in the stats section, or that the domain was registered just hours before he submitted the update request... "

Unbelievable! And by the way Elite Prospects talk about it, it feels like this is not the first time this happens to them. How far will parents go? The kid will not benefit from this dishonest attempt.

Come on parents, show your children you are better than this!
