CHL bans Russian players from upcoming Draft

According to a report from TSN hockey insider Darren Dreger, the CHL (WHL, OHL and QMJHL) will ban Russian born and Belarusian born players from the upcoming CHL Import Draft.

As mentioned by Dreger, already drafted Russian and Belarusian players will not be affected by this ban. 

Personally, I think this sanction against the Russian Hockey Federation is wrong. I mean... what did these kids do wrong? They were born on the wrong patch of dirt? They were unfortunate enough to be born into a country ruled by a brutal dictator posing as a democratically elected President? C'mon now... these kids have no control over what Vladimir Putin decides to do. To punish them based on their birth certificate is short sighted and, frankly, wrong.
