New York Rangers forward Filip Chytil, a man who is no stranger to the NHL's concussion protocol, has left tonight's game against the San Jose Sharks after receiving an elbow to the head from teammate K'Andre Miller.

Chytil was make a move on a loose puck in the offensive zone and simply ran into his teammate while they were both chasing the play. The two teammates ended up running into each other and Chytil stayed down on the ice in noticeable pain.

Check it out:

Here's the thing... Chytil returned to the ice just a couple of shifts later. He has not, however, come out of the dressing room for the 3rd period of play.

The Rangers have now confirmed that Chytil will not return to action this evening.

You've got to feel for this guy.
