Claude Giroux showed us why he wanted to dress tonight. He was going to score the overtime winner.

With lots being said that Giroux was potentially concussed after having his head bounce off the boards and he apparently being unconscious on the ice during his last game, Claude was having nothing of it. He said he was good to go and dressed tonight against the Winnipeg Jets. Even with lots of people worried that he suffered a concussion and if he were to get hit hard again it might cost him his season, Giroux took to the ice.

He showed how much he cares about his team making the playoffs and put his health on the line to help the Flyers pick up two points. Giroux picked up the puck on a quick transition with Gostisbehere joining him for a two on one against Jets forward Mark Scheifele. Giroux tried passing the puck over to Gostisbehere but Scheifele deflected the puck in the air. Gostisbehere then made a great play poking the puck away from Scheifele and then passed it up to Giroux who fired it past Ondrej Pavelec. It was a great effort play with Gostisbehere and Giroux once again combining for the winning goal.
