This just in, Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper has left the team and will not coach tonight's game against the New Jersey Devils. The Lightning have given no indication how long Cooper will be away from the team, just that he is on leave for personal reasons.

The 58 year old is the longest serving coach in the NHL, having been behind the Lightning's bench since 2012. Here's hoping that everything is okay in the Cooper family and that he can get back behind the bench in short order.

More to come on this developing story.
