Detroit Red Wings goaltender John Gibson left today's 4-2 win over the Nashville Predators and was replaced by backup Cam Talbot.

Post-game there was concern for Gibson's health moving forward but Red Wings head coach Todd McLellan confirmed to the media that Gibson's injury is not expected to be serious. McLellan said that Gibson took a puck to the shoulder late in the 1st period and suffered what goalies refer to as a "stinger". McLellan said that Gibson lost feeling in the area but that he felt fine after the game and he'll be properly diagnosed when the returns home tomorrow for a two game home stand.

From McLellan:

So, while it's not official that Gibson is healthy... it certainly seems that way. You can exhale, Red Wings fans.
