Cole Caufield signs new contract worth over $60 million!
Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield just backed up the Brinks truck and is getting paid.
The Montreal Canadiens have secured the services of one of their top young forwards for the foreseeable future.
On Monday morning, the Canadiens officially announced that they had signed forward Cole Caufield to a massive 8 year contract extension worth a whopping $62.8 million over the length of the deal. That works out to an average annual value of $7.85 million per season, a huge raise for Caufield.
Caufield has established himself as a dynamic part of the Canadiens offense, even earning the nickname "Goal Caufield" for his prolific scoring ability with the team. In his most recent campaign he recorded 26 goals and added 10 assists for a total of 36 points in just 46 games.
