There’s no doubt that the world we live in today is more politically correct and more politically charged than at any other point in history. Say the wrong thing or even suggest something against the norm and you’ll be outed as a pariah, cast aside and trampled all in the name of social justice.

It’s not exactly a secret that the war for and against free speech and free thought is taking place on American college campuses daily and a lot of the dialogue is healthy and progressive. Then… well then there’s just complete and utter nonsense. Enter: Emory University.

Some Emory students recently argued that the Nashville Predators should rebrand themselves as to avoid the negative connotation that sometimes comes with the word ‘predator’.

Seriously…? Seriously. The best part? The students call for the team to rebrand as the “Sabrecats”.

Uh… WTF is a Sabrecat?

What a bunch of complete nonsense…

I mean, I’m all for changing the names of teams like the Washington Redskins, Cleveland Indians if they’re deemed offensive enough by Native American tribes. No one should be forced to see their culture and identity reduced to a stereotype… but Predator? Are you kidding me!?

Sabrecats? Now you’re REALLY kidding me! Absolute nonsense.
