Commentator releases list of his hockey pet peeves

Hockey is a beautiful game, but there are some things that can also drive us crazy.

French hockey commentator and insider Danny Dube gave us a top 10 of the things that bother him most during games.

1) Marriage proposals during games. Are you that scared that she will say no? For such an important decision, you figure some intimacy would be needed. Saying "I do" shouldn't depend on how loudly the crowd cheers.

2)Mascots doing stupid things. Mascots are a big part of sports teams. Yet, some of them think that doing the most embarrassing things will get them the most laughs. No, do your job properly or you are out of a job. Maybe mascot could be put on waivers as well.

3) Fans that find they have to chirp opposing teams all game long. As an opposing fan, it can be fun to chirp the opponents when they take a dumb penalty and your team scores. Look at the two guys wearing the skin tight suits in Vancouver. If done properly it can be funny and amusing. But for those who just yell profanities all game long at anyone, just go home, you're drunk.

4) Opposing players who talk to each other while on their benches. If you are spending too much time on your bench that you decide to chat up your opponent, maybe you should focus on your play and not what the other guy did last weekend. Every game is important. Focus on the win and then meet up with who ever after you pick up the two points.

5) Players blaming their stick on missed chances. Unless maybe your stick broke, stop changing your stick for nothing. It's not your stick's fault, it's your fault.

6) Goalies ripping their defenseman for an error. Look, your defenseman are doing everything they can to help keep the puck out of the net and sometimes bad things happen, an accidental deflection, missed coverage. Ripping on them in front of 20,000 fans isn't right. Maybe coaches should fine their goalies and other players if they have such an outburst.

7) Players shoving their gloves in opposing players' faces. Are you asking what they think of how they smell? Stop it, it's stupid.

8) Players who go nuts waving their arms for an offside. Just because you got deked and are now out of the play doesn't mean you become a ref. There are enough replays. Let the refs do their jobs.

9) Some fans who constantly complain about the commentators. Yes, they make mistakes. They are human and it's a fast game. Relax, we know the mistake was made and we move on.

10) Fans who tell other fans and players to go back to their country, It's a sad part of the game. Considering half of your team is the same nationality of the player you are yelling at. Stop being so ignorant and stupid. Hockey is a game for everyone.
