Concerning development regarding Canucks forward Ilya Mikheyev
The Russian forward has left the team.

The Vancouver Canucks opened their 2023-24 training camp this morning, but a key acquisition from last offseason was conspicuously absent from practice.
Russian speedster Ilya Mikheyev left the team this morning for "personal reasons".
That's.... that's concerning.
Mikheyev, of course, missed a sizable chunk of last season with an injury that insiders report was mis-handled by the Canucks' medical staff. The 28 year old was limited to just 46 games with the Canucks last season, putting up 13 goals and 24 points.
This time however, Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal reports that it's not an injury preventing Mikheyev from joining his team, it's a private family matter.
From Dhaliwal:
More to come.
