Conflicting reports connecting superstar forward to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

There have been some major rumors suggesting that the Toronto Maple Leafs have interest in veteran Kontinental Hockey League superstar Ilya Kovalchuk, however that may not be the case after all.

TSN Insider Darren Dreger was a recent guest on "Naylor and Landsberg in the Morning" on TSN's 1050 radio, and he completely squashed those rumors and that's putting it mildly. 

"I don't believe that the Maple Leafs are interested," said TSN Insider Darren Dreger. "I saw the reports and I did my work in digging through my Maple Leafs sources and I'm told that it's BS so I guess I'll leave it at that."

It's still possible that Dregers sources could be mistaken, but given his reputation in the National Hockey League we are inclined to lean towards his report over others.
