Connor Bedard leaves everyone's jaws on the floor after a nasty move on the ice.
If you're a hockey fan than you're probably just as starved for hockey as I am and fortunately I've got something today that will hopefully help get you through yet another summer weekend with no hockey games.
Although the National Hockey League season is officially over and won't officially pick back up until October 7th later this year, players around the NHL are still working hard day in and day out to hone their skills in an effort to deliver the best performance possible when next season rolls around. That includes players at every level of the NHL from the borderline NHL players all the way up to some of the league's top stars, including Chicago Blackhawks star Connor Bedard.
Bedard has wasted so little time in getting back on the ice that I have to wonder if he ever genuinely took a break, and thankfully the cameras have been rolling at some of his workouts.
There is one clip in particular that has drawn a ton of attention from fans around the hockey world, a clip in which Bedard shows off an absolutely ridiculous release. The clip, which was shared by user "@CollectsBatman" on social media platform X, shows Bedard completely fooling both defender and goalie with a nasty move that does a great job of disguising his release until the very last second.
It is the third of 4 clips linked just below, but all 4 of them are worth checking out, especially if you're as starved for hockey as I am.
Batman Collects is of course a reference to the "Batman" nickname that Bedard was given by former NHL head coach Willie Desjardins, and he's been hard at work cataloging some of Bedard's best moments from his offseason training sessions.
If you're still looking for more, you can check out an additional 4 clips just below:
