On Wednesday night, some amateur players and some passionate fans attended a beer league game in Newmarket, ON, just outside of Toronto. Only to find out that two new players dressed for the game and jumped on the ice, and they were none other than Edmonton Oilers superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

Fans first noticed McDavid as soon as he made it to the ice when he skated around and was greeted by other players.

Then, as more phones started recording the action, fans also noticed Draisaitl, who was playing in the corner and fighting for the puck.

This was probably a fun way for both Oilers star players to train this summer, however, they were shockingly down 4-0 after the first period.

Not the ideal start for 97 and 29…

I kinda wonder if McDavid headed into the dressing room and started yelling at beer leaguers to dig the F--- in during the intermission...

It seems like after all it wasn't all Oilers' goalie Stuart Skinner's fault when Edmonton was falling behind in the first frame during the postseason.

McDavid, who has been eligible to sign an extension with the Oilers since July 1 before playing out the final season of an eight-year, $100-million contract in 2025-26, has often been rumoured to be a main target of the Maple Leafs. You can imagine how fans in Newmarket got the chatter going when they started posting videos of the Oilers’ captain and his teammate on ice near Toronto.

We will provide an update on the final score once the game comes to an end.
