Connor McDavid may dominate on NHL ice, but it turns out the Edmonton Oilers superstar has some serious skills off it too and not just related to hockey.

McDavid’s older brother, Cameron, shared a story with Sportsnet from their high school days that might surprise fans.

“We were in high school. I came up into my room and Connor’s there on my laptop, and he’s got, like, GarageBand going. He made this little techno song. I had it on my iPod for years… It was a banger,” Cameron recalled.

You read that right. Connor McDavid, widely known for his incredible speed, vision, and scoring ability, was also secretly producing techno music as a teenager. And it sure sounds like he was pretty good at it.

It’s a reminder that even hockey’s biggest stars have passions outside the rink. While fans have long admired McDavid’s leadership and talent with the Oilers, this glimpse into his off-ice creativity adds a new layer to the superstar’s personality.

Imagine if, once he is ready to hang up the skates, McDavid goes out on tour and get a record deal for his musical genius!

Whether McDavid will ever dust off those tracks and share them publicly is anyone’s guess, but for now, fans can enjoy imagining the Oilers captain not just skating circles around defenders, but also inventing new beats in his bedroom. I mean the guy is truly a multi-talented phenom.
