Connor McDavid’s wife fires another brutal shot at Brad Marchand during Game 4

Lauren Kyle McDavid is going all out to support her husband during the Stanley Cup Final. Earlier this week during Game 3 of the series against the Florida Panthers, Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid’s wife posted a very telling story of the showdown we are seeing in this series, taking a shot at Brad Marchand in her Instagram stories.

Lauren Kyle’s post, which went online while Game 3 was still going on, featured a screenshot of an Internet search result for the Alberta Rat Control Program — an obvious reference to the tradition of Panthers fans throwing plastic versions of the pest onto the ice after home playoff wins.

The screenshot reads the “Alberta Rat Control Program, established in 1950, has been instrumental in keeping the province essentially rat-free.”

For much of his career, Marchand has been to referred to as Rat, and you know how much he loves it. He came to Florida when the Panthers acquired him from the Boston Bruins at the last deadline.

On Thursday when she was watching Game 4 with some of the other players’ wives and partners, Lauren Kyle McDavid wore a custom-made shirt as the Oilers tied the series 2-2, and fans are absolutely loving it.

Lauren sported a custom T-shirt that read “Rat Patrol” on the back. A photo of her wearing the shirt was posted to her Instagram story and later shared on the Edmonton Oilers Reddit page Thursday night.

In her Instagram story, Lauren also made sure to tag the Alberta Invasive Species Council, a non-profit that raises awareness about invasive pests.

On her others stories, we can watch Lauren and the other women celebrating as the Oilers scored three goals of their own to erase the 3-0 deficit and took the lead in the last period with the Cats scoring in the final seconds of regulation to send another game to overtime. Leon Draisaitl scored the game-winner and the ladies went wild.

The Oilers will now head back home with the series tied at 2-2 and two of the remaining possible three games of the Stanley Cup Final set to be played in Edmonton.
