Controversial late call in Philadelphia this evening.

Regardless of what you will think of this hit, you really have to question the way the call was handled by the officiating crew.

During the Tuesday night match up between the Philadelphia Flyers and Montreal Canadiens, Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas was given a five minute major penalty seemingly long after any such call should have been made.

Gudas was called for clipping for his hit on Montreal Canadiens forward Lucas Lessio, one that left the 23 year old unable to regain his footing. Lessio who had just been called up by Montreal appeared seriously injured on the play, and was carried off the ice by a teammate and a trainer as he shouted in the direction of Gudas.
