He records his second shutout in a row.
Corey Crawford can't be beat lately.
On Sunday afternoon, Crawford recorded is second shutout in a row, in a 4-0 win against the Vancouver Canucks. Crawford made 30 saves in the win.
"It's a matter of preparing yourself and being focused each game," Crawford said. "Just because you play well in the last one doesn't mean it's going to be easy, and our team is starting to come around. Our [penalty kill] is really strong, and it seems like it's getting better and better. We just have to keep it going."
Crawford's hot streak began when the Hawks won a game vs the Winnipeg Jets on December 6th. Since, Crawford has allowed only two goals on 123 shots, with a 4-0-0 record. With his latest shutout, he hasn't allowed a goal in 140 minutes and 46 seconds.
"I started out [the season] pretty strong, [but] kind of dipped a little bit," Crawford said. "Now I'm able to get back and have that focus and that preparation ... that battle throughout the whole game."
Crawford could extend his shutout streak if he gets the start on Tuesday, when the Colorado avalanche will visit the Blackhawks.
