Perry is as old school as they come nowadays. Love this!
If there's one thing I miss about old school hockey in the 1980s and 1990s it's that legit heavyweight scraps rarely happen anymore.
Sure, there are a few big boys still floating around the league but it used to be that every single team had at least one, sometimes two, heavyweight enforcers. Well, thanks to Philadelphia Flyers forward Nic Deslauriers and Tampa Bay Lightning forward Patrick Maroon we've got a throwback fight here in 2022.
The two big boys dropped the gloves in the neutral zone and gave us a bit of a flashback to the old school, rock 'em sock 'em days of yore.

Now, I certainly wouldn't classify this as some all-time heavyweight classic, but there are a few shots landed. I think Deslauriers gets the pretty obvious edge in this tilt, but you know that Maroon will live to fight another day.
And if that wasn't enough knuckle chucking for you, Lightning veteran Corey Perry dropped the mitts with Flyers defenseman Justin Braun in a pretty one sided tilt.

The old dog's still got it!
