It will be one of the more intriguing storylines this offseason. The Toronto Maple Leafs are once again home for the summer after an early exit from the postseason, and the work has begun for GM Brad Treliving.
As far as the fate of Mitch Marner goes, that remains up in the air. According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, one team that has interest in acquiring him is the Vegas Golden Knights:
Marner's name has been involved in trade rumors following the end of Toronto's season at the hands of the rival Boston Bruins in this year's postseason.
He's up for a new contract after the 2024-25 NHL campaign, though many feel that GM Brad Treliving will elect to use his considerable chunk of cap space on other needs.
