Coyotes captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson attacked in his own home

This is awful. All the best to him and hopefully he's not out of action long.

According to a second hand report from our friends over at Complete Hockey News, Arizona Coyotes captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson was attacked by his family’s seven year old German Shephard.

Ekman-Larsson reportedly needed four stitched to close the wound and unfortunately the dog had to be put down.

No word on exactly how long Ekman-Larsson will need to recover, but the wound does not appear to be serious. Which, obviously, is great news for the Coyotes. The 28 year old Swedish blue liner is his team’s leader and the Coyotes are expected to take a big leap in 2019-20.

In 81 games last season, Ekman-Larsson scored 14 goals and 44 points.
