Coyotes' new captain leaked by NHL!
How ironic that the NHL lets the Coyotes down...

This just in, Clayton Keller will be the Arizona Coyotes' next captain.
The news comes courtesy of an NHL.com feature on Keller in which the league accidentally leaked the forward's impending captaincy announcement.
Check it out:
Keller is certainly a deserving candidate but... isn't this the guy who's own Dad said he wasn't going to stick around in Arizona given all the turmoil with the franchise?
Remember this?
Yikes...
That's apparently the father of the team captain saying that his son won't report for training camp. Something's not adding up here.
In any case, congratulations... I guess... to Keller?
The 24 year old forward put up a remarkable comeback season in 2022-23 after suffering a devastating injury the season prior. He managed 37 goals and 86 points in 82 games, the best of his NHL career thus far. He's a hardworking, determined player with oodles of skill. You could do a lot worse in picking a team captain, that's for sure. In all seriousness, congrats to Keller on this remarkable accomplishment.
