The Toronto Maple Leafs have been decimated by injuries this season and unfortunately for fans looking for some light at the end of the tunnel, there doesn't seem to be any at the moment.

On Sunday, Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube spoke to the media after a morning skate for his team and it was during that media availability that he was asked to share some updates on his injured players.

Front and center in the mind of every Maple Leafs' fan is a question about the health and status of goaltender Anthony Stolarz, but Berube was completely unable to answer questions on that topic on Sunday. When ask if there was any clarity on the injury, Berube shut down the question completely.

"There's actually not right now," admitted Berube on Sunday. "He's still not on the ice, so I'm not sure yet where he's at."

That is a huge cause for concern when you realize that Stolarz has been on the ice since he left a November 11th game against the Boston Bruins due to injury. That means Stolarz has been out for nearly a month with the Maple Leafs having no clarity on when, or even if, he might return.

Things weren't much clearer when it comes to veteran defenseman Chris Tanev who has been out since November 1st when he was involved in an awkward collision with Philadelphia Flyers forward Matvei Michkov. Berube did shed some light on when we might know more on Tanev, but nothing beyond that.

"He's getting looked at this week, Wednesday I believe, so we should know some information after that," said Berube. "He feels good, he's skating, working hard, but you know we'll have to see when he gets looked at on Wednesday."
