This was a crazy sequence of events! 2-0 Canada!
Early on in the goings of the 2nd period in tonight's World Junior Championships gold medal game between Canada and Czechia and the fireworks are popping off.
With a 1-0 lead thanks to a 1st period goal from Dylan Guenther, Canadian forward Caedan Bankier found himself in all alone with Czechia netminder Tomas Suchanek. While Bankier managed to get the puck behind Suchanek, he absolutely obliterated the goaltender in the process. The goal was immediately waived off for goaltender interference and Suchanek was down on the ice in a considerable amount of pain.

A Czech trainer came off the bench to attend to Suchanek and the team's backup goalie started doing stretches to come into the game. Then Suchanek rose to his feet and insisted on staying in the game. Moments later he made two incredible breakaway saves to keep the game 1-0 and looked no worse for wear!
Just a crazy sequence in an incredible gold medal game.
Oh... and if that weren't enough for you, Canadian captain Shane Wright has just made it 2-0 with this beautiful individual effort:
