Buddy comes charging in from the neutral zone!
I've been a hockey fan for 42 years and today was the day I learned that there's a legit professional ball hockey league.
The National Ball Hockey League (NBHL) bills itself as a highly competitive league that "unites the top players from across the country in a tournament-style format, with teams drafted to blend talent nationwide."
Games are played at Inman Sports Complex in Edison, NJ.
Now...
How "Professional" is this league, really?
Well, judge for yourself. Just look at this crazy scrap that results from a net front play:
Yeesh... that's ugly.
That's D level beer league hockey, just in sneakers.
With all due respect, this isn't professional level hockey, no matter whether they use a rubber puck or an orange ball. I do love a good scrap though, too bad these Dad-bods couldn't get themselves up to square off properly, though.
