Crosby could achieve something no player has done since Wayne Gretzky!

This would be an incredible achievement for Crosby.

While the end goal for Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has to be winning the Stanley Cup for his team, doing so would also allow Crosby to attain an achievement that no one has managed since Wayne Gretzky was in the league.

According to a report from Hockey 24/7 should Crosby and his Pittsburgh Penguins manage to beat the Nashville Predators in the Stanley Cup Final, it would be the first time a player managed to lead the league in goals and win the Stanley Cup in the same since Gretzky did it during the 1986-1987 season.

The sheer fact that no player has managed this feat over the course of the last thirty years should give you an idea of just how difficult it is, and considering that the last player to do so was the best player to ever set foot on NHL ice, it's even more impressive.

That being said, the Nashville Predators will have plenty of opportunity to deny Crosby the chance of achieving that goal, so it's going to be a tough battle for the superstar Penguins forward.
