Crosby listed as “unavailable” moves to the NHL's protocol list

Uh oh... this doesn't sound good.

This just in, the Pittsburgh Penguins have placed superstar captain Sidney Crosby on the NHL's COVID-19 Protocol List and, as a result, he will not be available for tonight's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Also, the Penguins were forced to cancel this morning's skate due to protocol rules. It remains to be seen if any of this will have an impact on this evening's scheduled game. Stay tuned.

But suffice it to say, this is a huge blow to the Penguins. If they lose Crosby for any significant length of time it could completely de-rail an already tenuous season. And that's saying nothing of the concern for Crosby if he does in fact have COVID-19. Rest up, Sid.
