Crucial update released on Leafs' Noel Acciari

He was felled after a hit to the head against Carolina.

The Toronto Maple Leafs lost forward Noel Acciari during Friday night's game against the visiting Carolina Hurricanes after he was struck in the head by forward Jesse Puljujärvi; Acciari lay on the ice in clear discomfort before departing the game and did not return. He also did not travel to Ottawa with his teammates for Saturday night's game against the rival Senators.

However, there is a positive update to be shared. Acciari was a full participant in practice earlier today, putting to rest fears that he could be out of the lineup further.

Acquired in the trade that also sent Ryan O'Reilly to the Leafs from the St. Louis Blues, Acciari has scored a total of 13 goals and eight assists in 66 combined games with St. Louis and Toronto this season.
