The Vancouver Canucks have traded forward Curtis Lazar to the New Jersey Devils in return for a fourth-round pick in 2024.
Moments later, the Canucks confirmed the transaction:
Lazar was activated on Thursday off the Canucks’ injured reserve. The forward played his last game for the Canucks on Feb. 15 against the New York Rangers, where he scored and logged 5:49 minutes of ice time.
This season, has three goals and five points in 45 games.
Lazar is finishing the first season of a three-year, $3 million contract he signed in Vancouver this past July. The Devils were looking to add depth up front ahead of the posteason. Voilà.
