Kirby Dach suffers an injury in early scrap vs Jonathan Aspirot.
The hatred between the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens is long standing and despite the many years and many iterations that we have seen, these two teams continue to have no love for one another.
The Bruins and Canadiens renewed that rivalry on Saturday night when they went head to head and it didn't take long for the bad blood to boil over once again.
It would be Canadiens forward Kirby Dach and Bruins defenseman Jonathan Aspirot who would get things started early when, with a little over 4 minutes left to go in the opening period, these two decided they had already had enough of one another.
Aspirot and Dach had been going back and forth in the Bruins zone and it didn't take long before the two decided to settle their differences the old fashioned way. This wasn't a particularly long exchange and an injury to Dach may have been the cause of that, with the Habs forward seemingly favoring an injured finger after the two men were separated.
You can see the replay below:
As you can see from the video replay, Dach was looking at his hand for some time before eventually grabbing one of his fingers with his uninjured hand and quickly heading back into the Canadiens locker room.
No official word on Dach's status just yet, stay tuned for more updates.
