After winning Bronze medal at the IIHF World Championships with his Czech hockey team, David Krejci is now focused on what to do next in his career. Earlier this month, the veteran forward was photographed chugging a beer on a plane headed for the States as a return to the NHL and a return to HC Olomouc seemed on the table at this point for Krejci.

On Thursday, Kevin Weekes pointed out that Krejci was indeed in the United States, spending the summer at his offseason home in South Carolina. He believes Krejci keeps considering an NHL return and could be tempted to reunite with the Boston Bruins seeing that there will be a new head coach in town and the team will need depth due to the many injuries announced at the end of the 2021-22 season.

After 15 seasons spent with the Bruins, Krejci went home to the Czech Republic this past year. Boston surely missed the No. 2 center behind Patrice Bergeron.

In May, a video went viral when Krejci and David Pastrnak teamed up for Czechia in the World Championships for the Czech Republic’s first medal-winning performance in over a decade. Pastrnak asked Krejci for a potential return in Boston and his time with his former teammate at the World Championships might sway him toward a Boston return.

Krejci scored 215 goals and 515 assists in 962 total games in the NHL, where he earned the reputation of being one of the League’s most underrated players.

Does this mean that Krejci could potentially return for 2022-23? Only time will tell, but we might be getting closer to his decision especially if this move back to the USA is a good hint!
