Before the start of the training camp, many experts believed that David Schlemko would be the one playing alongside Shea Weber on October 5, agaisnt the Buffalo Sabres. However, the 30-year-old blueliner suffered a hand injury and had to miss the last three weeks.

Schlemko understands that he needs time to heal, but still finds it hard not to be practise and play with his teammates. Here's what he told The Athletic's Arpon Basu:

“It’s pretty simple, it sucked,” Schlemko said of his last three weeks. “It’s nice to still be around the boys a little bit, but it’s kind of building that camaraderie of playing games and being on the ice with each other, that’s kind of what you miss when you’re the first one at the rink every morning and kind of skating by yourself. It’s not a lot of fun.”

We still have no indication about how long Schlemko will be sidelined. We sure hope he'll be back soon!
