Taking his defense, Malcolm Subban did play his first game since his horrific injury that sidelined him since February 5th. He was expected to be rusty, and luckily, it being a preseason game, nobody actually loses.

Still, I would’ve loved to see the Bruins win (especially against an original six team), but I can’t expect the goalie to singlehandedly do that for us. I mean, stopping 30 of 34 shots in the first two periods (thanks to a near non-existing defense), and going up against a Red Wings who almost had their full professional roster going, what more was I to expect? Maybe for him to score some goals for us? Nah, not yet.

Here’s to hoping that Malcolm Subban starts playing better, getting his groove back, and being the dominant goalie the organization expects him to be.
