Despite winning MVP honors, McDavid says he's not the best in the NHL.

Very interesting comments from McDavid.

The Edmonton Oilers have been blessed with one of the best hockey players on the planet in Connor McDavid, and in fact he was voted the National Hockey League's best last season.

Despite that however Connor McDavid himself does not believe that he is the best player in the league, and in a recent interview he demonstrated both how humble and gracious he is by extending that honor to another man.

"At the end of the day, everyone knows who the best player in the League is, and it's not me," McDavid said as per NHL.com

So who is it that McDavid believes is in fact the world's best hockey player? None other than multi-time Stanley Cup Champion and Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby.

"[Sidney] finds a way to score different goals, score goals in tight, score goals in front on tips, quick shots, and that's something I kind of struggle with, so I mean I definitely would love to find a way to score more, and he knows how to do that better than anyone," McDavid said.

This of course could simply be a matter of McDavid being humble, but it genuinely sounded like he meant what he was saying. And while Sidney Crosby did not walk away with nearly as much hardware as McDavid did, at least as far as individual awards are concerned, he did claim hockey's holy grail at the end of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
