The Montreal Canadiens could be looking to shake up their forward group, and it appears that they're interested in Boston Bruins forward Pavel Zacha.

The question is... "Is the feeling mutual?"

According to a league source who spoke with RG Media, Montreal has recently inquired about the Bruins’ versatile forward.

“The Canadiens definitely have interest in Zacha and have inquired about him, but they’re not the only team,” the source said to RG. “Several teams — I’m told the Flames are one — continue to express interest in him.”

Today, Canadiens insider Nicolas Cloutier reported on TVA that the Canadiens are NOT on Zacha's no-trade list and that he is indeed interested in joining the team. You have to imagine that Zacha's pre-existing relationship with Habs GM Kent Hughes plays a big role in all this. Hughes was, of course, Zacha's long-time player agent before Hughes accepted his position with the Habs in 2022.

There are also reports that the Vancouver Canucks, Minnesota Wild and Carolina Hurricanes are also interested in Zacha though and there's no indication of exactly who is or isn't on his no-trade list outside of the Habs.
