He did what?!
The mystery around Montreal Canadiens and reigning NHL MVP, Carey Price, might have been uncovered by Elliot Friedman.
According to Friedman, in Saturday's edition of Hockey Night in Canada, the injury occurred in strange fashion.
"This all began on Oct. 29 in Edmonton. Price stepped on a puck in the warmup, and all the injury problems have come from there."
Carey Price finished the game against the Oilers, but missed nearly a month, before making a return on November 20. He won three straight games, before being place on injured reserve agains, when he aggravated his injury during a contest against the New York Rangers.
Montreal is on top of the overall standings with 39 points, but Price's absence could weaken the Canadiens' stronghold on the top spot.
ESPN's Pierre Lebrun reported that Price had an appointment with team doctors on Saturday for further testings. Head coach Michel Therrien or general manager Marc Bergevin should provide the media with an update on Price's injury on Monday or Tuesday, at the latest.
