Detroit Red Wings announce further injury news
The announcement was made earlier today by GM Steve Yzerman.
The Detroit Red Wings are gearing up to face Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers later tonight at Little Caesars Arena. But while that battle is taking place on the ice, one member of the team is making plans to hopefully take care of a nagging injury sooner rather than later.
Defenseman Troy Stecher, who has appeared in six games this season while registering a single assist, will be seeing a specialist in order to take care of an undisclosed injury:
A veteran of 336 career games in the National Hockey League, Stecher has tallied 14 goals with 73 assists and 138 PIM. He was signed to a free-agent contract by the Red Wings prior to last season; he'd previously spent four years playing with the Vancouver Canucks.
