Jaromir Jagr had never played for a Canadian team before he signed this season with the Calgary Flames. Almost unbelievable when you consider how long he's been in the NHL - and how many clubs he's played for.
There were talks just about every offseason that there was interest from the Montreal Canadiens, but Marc Bergevin inexplicably has never pulled the trigger.
For the same price that Jagr signed for in Calgary, the Canadiens' general manager signed Ales Hemsky. There was hope that his two-way game and offensive instincts would play well in the Montreal system, but this experiment has been a complete disaster, much like when the team took a flyer on Alexander Semin.
Well Jaromir Jagr seems to have (perhaps jokingly) confirmed his interest in playing in La Belle Province when he liked this tweet:
Players find themselves in media storms when they like such tweets - Jagr likely just couldn't care less.
It's clear though that the legend likes searching himself up on Twitter - he wasn't tagged in this tweet so he was actively seeking it out.
He's probably happy he didn't end up signing with the 1-6-1 Canadiens.
