Dion Phaneuf off to a rough start in Ottawa.

The newest Ottawa Senator was probably excited to get a fresh start on a new team, especially after the oppressive scrutiny he faced during his time as captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Unfortunately for defenseman Dion Phaneuf his tenure in Ottawa started wit ha bit of a blooper, and although this is certainly not an indictment of him as a player, after all it is only just one play, given the context and his reputation it was rather comical.

When attempting to skate back defensively Phaneuf lost his balance, and with the criticism of his mobility in the past it was hard not to chuckle a little at this coincidence in his first game as a Senator.
